In an increasingly confusing world of many voices, communication remains key.
In the future, our students inevitably will find themselves needing to show confidence before a crowd; land a good joke in an interview; deliver a quick, impactful pitch about themselves or an idea; or resolve a conflict through negotiation.
The list could go on, but the skills we teach prove invaluable for advancing one's career, building professional and personal relationships, and convincing people to do—or at least understand—things they wouldn't have considered before.
Traditional Speech & Debate teams help students with important public speaking skills but often focus students on winning a debate or an audience and on the skills required for whatever event(s) they compete in.
With our programs, we aspire that our students emerge well-rounded in the many aspects of public speaking, from humor to two-party negotiations to crowd addresses, and focus on building a relationship with their audiences for real-life situations in their professional and personal lives.
While we focus on middle-to-high-school-aged children, we hope to help anyone in need of overcoming great obstacles and lifting up their spirits through public speaking and communication skills and activities.
